What is the Law Enforcement Torch Run?

The Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run (OLETR) is a provincial fundraising program that directly benefits over 18,000 Special Olympics Ontario athletes with an intellectual disability. The Torch Run is a world-wide movement that fundraised over $42 Million last year and is recognized as the “Charity of Choice” for the International Association of Chiefs of Police. 

In Ontario the Torch Run is comprised of almost 10,000 Law Enforcement Officers representing over 60 agencies including: OPP, RCMP, Municipal Police, Corrections, Probation and Parole, CBSA, Military Police, Campus Police and more. 

The Torch Run is a 365 day a year fundraising program that also raises money with: Community Mall Tolls, Polar Bear Plunges, Police Serving You, Golf Tournaments/BBQ’s, World’s Largest Truck Convoy, Military Tattoo’s, NHL Alumni Tour, Oldtimers Hockey Challenge etc.
